Eyebrow extension is a new cosmetic procedure during which a trained professional attaches synthetic eyebrow extensions to the natural eyebrow hairs and /or to the skin in order to improve the appearance of natural brows.
In the beginning of the eyebrow extension appointment, the eyebrow extension professional will assess the colour, thickness and shape of your natural eyebrows. The professional may suggest, based on your facial features and desired look, either the eyebrow correction or an eyebrow shape. Eyebrow tinting may be used to deepen the natural eyebrow colour. After which, your eyebrows are cleaned and slightly trimmed with the chosen eyebrow shape outlined with a makeup pencil. Following that, the professional attach the eyebrow extensions, one by one, with a specially formulated adhesive. Depending on the percentage of the eyebrow restoration needed, as well as the experience of the professional, the whole procedure takes somewhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours. After the procedure, the professional will wipe off the makeup pencil’s outline from the skin and explain the care steps for your new extensions. Your professional may also provide you with a special eyebrow care solution for use at home.
The eyebrow extensions are attached to either an eyebrow hair or to the skin with the help of a specially formulated adhesive. Usually, it is a trained specialist who will administer this procedure.
The formulation of the eyebrow extension adhesive is different from the eyelash extension adhesive.
It is rare to experience an allergic reaction to the eyebrow extension procedure. Our professionals (ELS students) are trained in performing the patch test prior to the procedure to determine if the client is allergic to the eyebrow adhesive’s formula.
Eyebrow extensions can add the necessary volume or correct the over plucked or receding an eyebrow line. They blend in very well with the natural eyebrows; even when extensions are attached directly to the skin; the eyebrow extensions have very natural appearance.
The eyebrow extension procedure is recommended not only for special occasions, but on a regular basis, when the client desires to beautify the appearance of her or his eyebrows. The eyebrow procedure can be equally offered for men as women. Brow extensions are great for clients who suffer from alopecia, for example, and want to have a natural brow appearance for a special occasion, like wedding etc.
Eyebrow extensions attached to the eyebrow hair, last between 7 to 10 days, whereas when applied directly to the skin – 1-3 days. The length of glue hold will also be affected by your skin type and the eyebrow care. This type of glue holds up to 3-4 weeks in non-oil gentle environment. Oil breaks down the adhesive bond which is the reason why they do not last very long. Another factor that influences the length of the adhesive hold is the quality of work done by the eyebrow extension specialist: when the eyebrow extensions is placed and attached well, it can hold for a longer period of time, then when it is attached haphazardly. Also, the less you touch or rub those eyebrow extensions, the longer the extensions will stay!
Eyebrow extension refills are recommended every 7-10 days on average. Your skin type and the speed of your eyebrow hair growth cycle will may lessen or increase that time frame.
Your professional may provide you with a special solution following your first procedure. Regardless whether or not you were given the product, to prolong the lifespan of your new eyebrow extensions, we suggest the following:
- Keeping your eyebrows oil-free by using an oil-free make up remover;
- If you use facial creams or eye creams, avoid getting them on the extensions;
- During the showers, gently clean your eyebrows with a baby shampoo foam;
- Be very gentle with your extensions – never ever rub or pull on the them, otherwise, they will shed real fast;
The price for the procedure depends on the percentage of the eyebrow restoration needed (how many extensions need to be attached etc.), as well as the time it takes to complete it. We suggest contacting our professionals in your area to receive the up to date price list.

Our workshop was created exclusively for professionals with previous experience in either aesthetics, make up or eyelash extension fields. Our workshop differs from the other ones in its length (only 2 hours long) and the format of teaching (workshop). The length of our workshop is based on the time needed for the professional to understand the mechanics behind the eyebrow extension techniques and be able to practice and perfect the skill on her/his own after the workshop. We have observed that the 2-hour workshop was the optimal length for a busy professional to learn and to perfect the skills necessary. Workshop was a chosen type of the class format for this course as we believe that is the best way to learn the new skill of eyebrow extension. It is full hands-on with lots of practice and exercises. We currently offer only one on one (private) workshop during which our teacher focuses only on you and your individual learning challenges. We value the time of our professionals and that is the reason why we do not feel that prolonged supervised eyebrow extension application (a.k.a. ‘babysitting’) during the class is needed. We do prolong classes per technician’s request, when needed.
It is advisable to have an experience or an education, or better both, in the aesthetics, or in makeup or in eyelash extension domains. You still can take the class without those pre-requisites but it may take you longer than 2 hours to grasp the concept and to learn the skills necessary for the eyebrow extension.
No, we only teach how to shape the eyebrow (what should stay and what should go) and how to attach the eyebrow extensions. We expect our students to know how to remove the eyebrow hair (either through tweezing, threading or waxing).
No, we only teach eyebrow extension. We find that micro blading procedure is too invasive. The micro blading errors are almost impossible to correct. Micro blading is similar to permanent make up/cosmetic tattooing/derma pigmentation/micro pigmentation in that it is done through incisions in the skin into which the dye/pigment is entered. The only difference between the permanent makeup and micro blading is that the permanent makeup is done with a machine (that controls the depth of the incision etc.), whereas the micro blading is done manually by hand. Same as tattoos, it can be difficult to remove the permanent make up or the micro blading make up.
